For so long, the feuding has gone on. For so long, three great powers have been vying for dominance, for their law to be part of the lay of the land, to be the victors over the other two powers. For countless years, the fighting, the death, the tears have never ceased.
Wlll it never end?
The first power is an ancient power, stretching back to the Time of Hoole which was so long ago, it is long a legendary story. The Guardians of Ga’Hoole, a knightly order of owls, have long thrived in the Great Tree. Their laws are of a free land, a land without slavery, without torment, without racism. Their path is of a noble, unselfish one, and many have come to join this great force. But not all are as good-hearted as these Guardians.
For long years, though not nearly as ancient as Ga’Hoole, two other powers, St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls, and the cruel Pure Ones, have lurked in the shadows. St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls, or just St. Aggie’s for short, is a cruel place which has lowered itself to the enslaving of young and vulnerable owls, hypnotizing them to insanity, using them for their own greedy survival. Egg-nappers and ruthless killers, this group has long thrived deep in the St. Aegolius Canyons.
The Pure Ones are a power of only Barn Owls, who hide deep in the murky Shadow Forest. Their plan is simple- kill off every other species except for Barn owls so that the world becomes pure once more, untainted by other, filthier, species. Ruled by the High Tytos, many have joined their ranks, and many have fallen to their power. This group is the most threatening to the Ga’Hoole Tree, and many sieges and raids have been carried out between the two since the Pure Ones’ creation.
This endless war has never ceased to be, and these three powers have never waned.
In the darkness of evil, will the Ga’Hoole Tree live to see the dawn of a free land?
Will the slavery and murders never end?
The end draws near.
