OOC: I've hardly edited this, so shadup >.<
I, Blade, circled the sky, staring down below to find my prey. The night was dark, as usual, but mild with a tear of water spraying from the clouds that rushed down the sky shedding a few drops as they came down. The night sky was clear with dumb little glowing specks sprinkling the sky, and a few packs of moving grey clouds. The moon was the brightest thing in the sky, with shimmering ray and visible craters. I peered up at the moon, oh how the light hurt me, but the moon did look like a satisfying ornament placed up there. I scowled as I saw a few lackers getting drunk near by. It even irratated me more as I saw a lone crow being beat off from a tree and flapping stupidly towards an empty cave. The day had been a nasty sleeping, I hated sleeping when there was just so much to do. Bugs had also infested my hollow, the carcass of my young snake was still hanging from my hollow wall as a nick-knack. I didn't feel tired, not at all. The claws from my necklace clattered for a moment, with dried blood molding up at the tips.
My icy gaze shot at the lackers once again, how stupid they were. The prisoner was tied up with scars from its last beating below me. It was a useless sassy owl from that god-damned tree. That owl had done nothing but groan and cry in the day, then sit here staring at those stupid star constellations before getting a good beating for being annoying. Puh, I thought. That owl gave no information about the tree, nor was its stupid mind capable of doing so. Its execution was now, but those owls did nothing but drink more, not wanting to lift their fat asses from their perch to swiftly kill a stupid bird. I was at least happy that I could do the honours, even better that I could do it alone with the watchful eyes of Glaux on me. I suddenly wished that Ferdows was here to watch me as she completed something for Glaux. How he would be proud. Course it was nothing like what I did for tupsi. Bringing my sharp black eyes down towards the prisoner that has been watching me intensely, I finally shot myself forward after my long thoughts.
The prisoner flinched, and attempted to continue clawing at the tight vine that held him. It was no use, I had landed on the ground in front of the owl, and made my way closer. My stare cut like a blade, I could hear his heart beat three times faster as the owl fell back staring with complete fear screaming in his head. The owl's beak opened, only letting out a pathetic squeak. Since I had time, I could do the ritual as I kill for Glaux. It was He, Glaux, that gave me with opening to do something with my time that made him happy. I lowered my head, and advanced, dragging my talons that made a screeching sound as it scratched against the stone. I was usually happy, but my mood remained unchanged from my anger. I was serious this time, and I would do my job as it was to be. The owl couldn't run, couldn't close its eyes, could only think about its past and hope the worst doesn't come. But, somehow, it managed to gather its wits and force itself to fly. To slow for me, I jumped on it, my claws fixed to its shoulders, and my beak inching towards the left wing, but I turned by head to the right direction at the other wing. It made sence that this male owl should get its male side pained more. I stabbed my beat deep inside the wing, feeling the larger bone that was connected to the body. With a large tug, I ripped the wing out and released the owl. The body and its wing fell back and flapped around uselessly before freezing and laying down. The owl was paralysed with fear, I could almost laugh but instead kept my face serious. I didn’t want it to end too soon, so I advanced closer again. The owl’s filthy eyes were fixed on me, and I started to get annoyed again. I sunk my claws into its eyes, the first one I did slower and carefully as I tried to position my claws around and feel my way into its eye sockets to wrap my talons around it. With a forceful tug I pulled out a bloody black eyes and started clawing my way to the other eye. The owl started its speech of unclear cries and groans with a hint of actual sounds that I wasn’t really paying attention to. Next, after I finally noticed the sounds it was making, moved on to the talons to hear more. After dispatching its claws and the owl started screeching I finally got tired and decided to finish it all. I first swiped my claws at its chest to open it up, and brought my other talon to search and find the heart. There was a while until I completely pulled out the heart with the broken veins getting in my way. Once done I started my ritual.
By making a circle with a few markings with the owl’s blood I lay myself in the middle of the circle and started praying. It was an offer to Glaux, and may He smile upon me. I thought that in the future, I would start an alliance of owls of my own kind, but thought not of it. For the next half hour I prayed in my position, completely alone and away from everything. The location I was in was a hidden grove of trees were owls don’t usually go because it’s a reserved place were prisoners would come to be executed.
After the ceremony was done, I picked herself up and shook the dirt from my feathers. My belly grumbled and I lifted myself off in search to look for food farther away, I guessed the creatures would be rushing off after my little killing. I felt a lot better and less stressed. The lackers came to their scences and came towards the place where the prisoner was after remembering the screams they had heard. They came to find the dried blood scabbing at the grass, and the body of the owl nailed to the bark of the tree with its body pieces pilled beside it. The owls gasped as they almost passed out. I smiled, and flew on towards some food. After snatching a large plump rat and playing with it for a moment, watching as it pathetically attempted to escape my grasp on it. I ripped the head of and ate the rest of it. I knew it was not enough, so I caught another one but played with it less. After a good meat in my belly I perched myself high up on a tree where I would observe the Pure Ones camp and make notes of progress and the such.
My name is Blade, although everyone knows me as Tahlra since I've had my tupsi. I live, and work for Glaux. I kill for Glaux. All that stand in my way, will parish like the prisoner had tonight.
